Madhumay Roy is a versatile guitarist and producer with over 12 years of playing experience and a deep foundation in both contemporary and classical traditions. He holds a Grade 8 certification in Rock & Pop Guitar from Trinity College London through the Delhi School of Music and a Grade 5 in Classical Guitar from the Calcutta School of Music. Since 2018, he has been a protégé of the renowned maestro Sir Amyt Datta, a collaboration that led to him being featured in The Telegraph as part of Datta’s premier student ensemble.

An accomplished performer, Madhumay has consistently represented Jadavpur University at the AIU All India Youth Fest, where he earned a National Bronze Medal in 2023 and a Zonal Gold Medal in 2019.

With extensive experience in music pedagogy, Madhumay currently serves as an Enrichment Music Mentor at The Ardee School and a Guitar Faculty member at The Knights Music and Dance Academy. He specializes in designing curricula based on ABRSM, Trinity, and RSL boards for students of all ages. Beyond performance and teaching, he is a skilled session musician proficient in Logic Pro, Cubase, and Ableton, utilizing these tools to create professional studio recordings and immersive soundscapes.
